My name is Nathan Xayprasith, I am a Texas State student and a Laotian American

I am from Irving, Texas and a first generation college student. I am studying Digital and Online Media Innovation (who is a part of the 2023 graduation class), and still undecided about my minor.

Representing

The reason I started this blog is to share the Laotian culture with people and also to learn more about my own culture. I grew up as a first generation American so my family is from Laos. Because I grew up in America, there are many things I still do not know about my own heritage. I learned many things ranging from new words, and traditions that I never even knew about until doing this blog. When working on this semester long project, I realized something. It is very easy to learn about your own culture; you just need to have the mindset to do it.

What I Like To Do

I have many things that I like to do. One of them is binge watching. Because of this quarantine, I have watched many shows and movies. One show that I am watching right now is Ozark. I highly recommend watching it. Another thing I like to do is collect shoes. You can never have to many shoes, and one day I will start reselling. I also like to be active; such as play sports outside and workout.

I have two younger brothers; Irving and Baylor, and they really be giving headaches. My whole family is huge and I love them.

My favorite YouTuber as of right know is WHATS DA DEAL, because he puts me on some good music.

My favorite movie of all time is Troy.

My favorite type of food is Seafood.
